16. I shall be sanctified. Verses 14-16 largely repeat what has already been said concerning the peaceful security of Israel, and of God’s permitting the mighty confederacy of Gog to come against His people. In the destruction of Gog the character of God will stand fully vindicated. So again, in the destruction of Satan and of the vast multitude of the wicked at the end of the millennium, God’s wisdom, justice, and goodness will stand fully vindicated. From the lips of all creatures, both loyal and rebellious, will be heard these words, “Just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints” (Rev. 15:3; GC 668-671).
