3. A Shunammite. Shunem, now called Sôlem, was in Issachar (Joshua 19:17, 18), on an eminence in the plain of Esdraelon, 6.5 (10.4 ) southwest of Tabor. The Shunammite was from the same place as the Shulamite maiden of Solomon’s Song (S. of Sol. 6:13), but there is no evidence that the two were identical.
